You Are What You Think – The Ongoing Transformation

You Are What You Think – The Ongoing Transformation

Following on from my article of 4 January, we are now going to take our life changing aspirations to the next stage.

If you have already begun writing down your goals in a one to five year plan, then you will have already noticed a shift in certain areas of your life.

We have already had emails from some of our viewers who have already seen a change in their circumstance, even in the short time they have been following my plan.

Yes it is that simple. However cynical or spiritual you are, this is based on fact. The Universe responds to changes in mind set however small.

A recent colleague went into a series of life improvement workshops just wanting to improve her life. She had been in an abusive business partnership for some time but was tied into it financially. The one thing she wanted but felt impossible was to split with her business partner, but felt it impossible.

After a couple of weeks he told her that he wanted to buy her out and set up another business in a completely different area. Mary was astounded and could not believe her luck. She had completely given up on her independence, but had taken her destiny into her own hands and made a change – the Universe had responded almost immediately.

Some people would think it a coincidence, but it is just the way the Universe works.

Another great book you should invest in if you haven’t already is The Secret by Rhonda Byrne. This is based on ancient writings and in simple language advises how your thoughts determine your destiny. In other words YOU ARE WHAT YOU THINK.

It gives tremendously useful examples of well-known individuals throughout history and the present day, and how their thinking or targets have become a reality.

‘They include some of the world’s leaders in the fields of business, economics, medicine, psychology, history, theology, and science. The Secret reveals amazing real life stories of regular people who have changed their lives in profound ways. By applying The Secret they present instances of eradicating disease, acquiring massive wealth, overcoming obstacles and achieving what many would regard as impossible.’

Visualisation is a powerful tool, and if you know what you want and take it to the next stage by visualising it – a bit like running a film in your head of exactly what you want and who you want to be playing out the roles in your life. You can then become your own writer, producer and casting director. You can of course star in it yourself, in your own imagination of course.

But watch out as it is true ‘BE CAREFUL WHAT YOU WISH FOR’ and get ready for some major positive changes in your life.

How Old is Too Old – To Be a Mum

How Old is Too Old – To Be a Mum

At one time to be a first time mum over 40 was a rarity or even a talking point, but now with former boss of the Serpentine Gallery, Dame Julia Peyton-Jones getting pregnant at 64 it has shone a light on how many women are now opting for motherhood later in life.

There are many reasons behind these rather controversial life choices. Women and couples are making sure they have a healthy bank balance, many women putting their career first before going for a family. Others have life changing revelations or regrets, and feel that they have missed out on their natural instinct to be a parent.

All to the good, but what about the health risks of carrying a child at a more mature stage of life, and even if a woman gives birth to a perfectly healthy baby, how is she going to cope with the sleepless nights and endless demands of a young baby, and small child.

As Dr Hilary Jones said recently on the Lorraine Kelly show – it is really down to individual choice and circumstance and there are no hard and fast rules. This is true but as someone who gave birth to my first child at the age of 32, and am still reeling from the shock of the exhaustion I felt some ten years later, debate whether any woman is prepared for the sheer love, joy but complete change of lifestyle a baby demands.

One lady who gave birth at the age of 57 has had the most joy from the experience, but now at the age of 66 has a nine year old who she wants to see growing up into adulthood, and wishes she had become a mum earlier in life.

A sound piece of advice from our Glotime.tv life coach is to write down a list of the pros and cons of having a child at a time when most mums are looking forward to being a grandparent. If the pros outweigh the cons then go for it, but if you have any doubt at all, think again. Even the most loving parent has those challenging moments when the baby wont sleep or the toddler is trying to climb out of the window.   The responsibilities are endless as all mums will tell you.

With the evolvement of IVF treatments and the availability of the procedure throughout the World, the opportunity has opened up for almost anyone wanting to give birth to a child. So it is up to those of us who still seeking the fulfilment of motherhood at a more mature age, whether you can really see it through – after all a baby really is for life.

Have Dog Will Travel and Will Even be a Shopping Companion

Have Dog Will Travel and Will Even be a Shopping Companion

Whether or not you voted Brexit one thing that will remain is the concern of your dog if you are planning a holiday or shopping break, and you will be making travel choices based on the demands of your furry friend to be cared for in the fashion set by your own high standards.

If this is really determining your plans then why not travel with your doggie in the many pet friendly hotels and outlets across the UK that will welcome you both with open arms.

Did you know that even Harrods and Selfridges are open to well behaved dogs as long as you carry them. Harrods insist on vaccination certificates and you have to go in by door 3, but if you really want to shop they even provide a crèche so that you can browse at your leisure. Liberty’s too are dog friendly, and again you must carry your pooch, and this old traditional store provide a great browsing adventure if you like their retro designs and iconic patterns.

There are many hotels that also welcome dogs and are at great holiday destinations with nearby walks. They even provide doggie sitting so that you are free go out for a meal in the evening if you want to.

Pubs are particularly welcoming for dogs and many provide ‘doggie bags’ for them in the way of treats and bowls of water so that they don’t become hungry or thirsty while you are sipping at your wine or beer or snacking on the bar food.

The most popular pet friendly holiday of course is a cottage break, and one that springs to mind is http://www.watersidebreaks.com/ which has a variety of options for pet minded people. It is a family run business whose owner Tim Wells is hands on with advice and hands on experience with pets and children as they often go hand in hand.

The other ideal way to holiday or travel with a pet of course is in a caravan, and the caravan holiday has taken an upsurge in popularity in recent years, with the endorsement of celebrities such as Helen Mirren and Jamie Oliver to name but a few. Check out www.thecaravanclub.co.uk to find your options. This is another fabulous organisation who are customer friendly and will go to the end of the earth to tick all the boxes to meet your needs.

It does warm my heart that we consider our pets important in the UK. After all a dog is a man’s (or woman’s) best friend, and this was again confirmed with the beautiful story of Gobi the dog who followed marathon runner Dion Leonard, 80 miles across the desert in China, only to be lost at the last minute before the athlete’s return to the UK.

For those of you who are not familiar with the story, he has now been reunited with his owner through a social media campaign, and is now safely back in his care in the UK.
