When Society became permissive the Youth culture in England exploded into technicolor life allowing an anything goes freedom of expression. EXTREMES focuses on the Isle of Wight festival, urban street life and the hard drug scene. Eye opening, harrowing and sometimes amusing this is a must see film of its time.
Made by Tony Klinger and Michael Lytton, then aged 19 and 21 this is documentary making at its raw edge, with cameras recording the wild times of young people seeking new ways to express themselves. Natural, informative, dynamic and sometimes sad this is a film about a time never to be repeated.
An Outstanding film of the year at the London Film Festival 1971.
Feature documentary – 89’ – A rediscovered film, lost for over 30 yrs
Originally filmed in 1970/71
Directed by Tony Klinger & Michael Lytton
Music by: Supertramp, Crucible, and Arc
Available for the first time on DVD. “EXTREMES” is the 1971 film Directed by Tony Klinger, Mike Lytton. It covers the whole gamut of present day human behaviour, from carefree pop fans bathing nude at the Isle of Wight to withdrawn, pathetic junkies hastening their own deaths with hard drugs. Such is the range encompassed by the so-called “permissive society”, doubly significant because it usually involves young people who have either never known discipline or are rebelling against an overdose of it. They can’t change society so they have no alternative but to drop out from it. In some of the most natural and remarkable film footage ever obtained, Tony Klinger and Michael Lytton have captured a unique cross-section of them going their chosen ways, and talking freely and frankly about doing so. Nothing was pre-arranged, nothing rehearsed: everything was filmed as it happened. Hippies, homosexuals, junkies, Hell’s Angels, alcoholics, drop-outs – all fall into the category of nonconformist minorities.
Accompanying this incredible film is an equally amazing sound track produced by Supertramp, Arc, Crucible and others. The sound track album was released on Deram and is so rare it sells for in excess of £250 and has never being be released on CD before.
This DVD/ CD package with an extensive booklet of photographs from the set and sleeve notes by Tony Klinger finally pays justice to this unique film

A LIFE OF CRIME BEGINS
The wait is over for the much-anticipated prequel to multi-award-winning global hit Prime Suspect. This visually-stunning, cinematic drama rewinds to 1970s London to portray the early career of the formidable DCI Jane Tennison (Stefanie Martini), the role that established Oscar® winner Dame Helen Mirren as a household name. We meet Jane as an ambitious, single-minded 22-year-old probationary officer, starting out as a WPC in a world where chauvinism and rule-bending are the norm.
Jane’s dedicated, instinctive approach is evident from the start as she is thrown into a brutal murder enquiry, witnessing first-hand the devastating effects of violent crime, as well as experiencing tragic ramifications herself. Immersed in the music, fashion and politics that defined a generation, we follow Jane Tennison as she establishes herself in a man’s world, revealing the complexities of her ambition and personal life that shaped one of television’s most iconic female characters.

60% of women will experience some form of hair loss in their lives as stress, hormones, diet and personal health can all affect the health of the hair and disrupt the hair growth cycle.
Nourkrin® are dedicated to helping women achieve the natural, healthy, beautiful hair that is synonymous with a sense of youth, fertility, confidence and femininity and the scientifically formulated products are fully supported by 30 years of genuine knowledge, sound advice and clinical research.
The seminal product Nourkrin® WOMAN – FOR HAIR GROWTH has been helping women suffering from hair thinning and hair loss for 30 years and this experience led to the development of four proactive products to help women maintain their natural, beautiful, healthy hair at all stages of life – BEFORE the onset of a problem:
- Nourkrin® Active 20+ – for women in their 20s and 30s, an on-the-go lifestyle means carefully balancing family, friends, career, fitness and much more, and this active modern way of life can have a negative impact on the hair. Although hair growth issues are not always something women think about prior to the appearance of visible symptoms, there are still those who will be affected at a young age, despite a lifestyle of good health and wellness.
- Nourkrin® Post Pregnancy – bringing a baby into the world is one of the most exceptional experiences a woman can have. However, this experience can also have certain effects on the body. 40 -50% of new mums will experience hair loss within 2-4 months of giving birth, and post-partum hair loss is more common than most women realise.
- Nourkrin® Active 45+ – for women in their 40s and beyond, the health and condition of the hair can begin to suffer despite best efforts to live an active and healthy lifestyle. Daily stressors and hormone-related changes in the body can have a negative impact on hair.
- Nourkrin® Radiance – Women may experience changes in hair colour at any stage of life. Stress, among other things, has become an increasingly important factor in this regard. 20 years ago, the proportion of women who spotted their first grey hair before the age of 30 was just 18%. Today, 32% of British women under the age of 30 have already started going grey – two-thirds of them blame it on stress. In total, half of all women will have a head of hair that is 50% grey by the time they reach the age of 50. Nourkrin Radiance provides the support required to maintain normal colour and optimal appearance, helping DELAY the onset of changes in hair pigmentation.
All Nourkrin® supplements are safe and drug-free and proactively support the normal function of the Hair Growth Cycle, providing the support required to maintain top quality, optimal appearance and the ability to grow normally.
